Osea Island has been connected to the Film, TV and Music industries for many years.
From Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Superstar Island to the most recent SKY / HBO drama, our shores have been a most prestigious location and partner to the art of film and music making.
Cross the ancient causeway built by the Romans and discover an enchanting and idyllic haven of privacy and tranquility combined with a wide range of beautiful and unique locations for Film, TV and Stills Photography.
The list of shooting possibilities is endless and our properties vary from historic cottages to grand Victorian and Edwardian houses full of charm and character.
The design and style of properties can be described as Quintessentially English Seaside meets Country Manor with accents of America’s East Coast, giving a feeling of being in an UK coastal village or at Martha’s Vineyard, making an authentic and original setting.
Combined with our properties, the Island is of outstanding natural beauty and a hidden oasis with 41/2 miles of secluded coastline, open fields and meadows, ponds and gardens and has the perfect balance between coast and countryside, offering endless shooting possibilities for stills, editorials, brand campaigns and special projects.
Osea has its own private recording studio and witnessed many legendary stories that are a part of our heritage, from furniture gifted by John Lennon to hosting many accomplished artists that worked and stayed in the Island.
We are located in a historic area of the Blackwater Estuary, near Maldon and just under 90 min from The City of London by a train or car journey. Being a tidal island, accessed via a causeway built by the Romans, we can control access and ensure total privacy - great for when your project is still top secret!
The Island has 19 properties and 04 event spaces that can accommodate an entire filming crew. Knowledge of the island and surrounding area is essential and our team is experienced in hosting small to large productions and can help you with your production enquiry - no matter the size of your project.
